Layla soft touch golden With my new gold frankens on each hand.
Chipped it already relaxing my hair but it's quite hard process on the hands, gloves, prolonged washing etc so very impressed.

Thanks starry! Will I put cosmos on this morning and its chipped already!! Gah! Used PVA as a base as usual and it doesn't normally chip that quickly so I must have done something wrong! Anyway, can't go out with chipped nails so will have to redo them tonight! Humph

Does buffing effect the pva base shoppingaddict? The first time I tried it I was so impressed and bought a huge vat of PVA, faffed around emptying, cleaning and filling a bottle (even trimmed the brush so it was just how I wanted it!). The next time I used it I'd buffed to infinity and my nails were like glass (they're so flaky and rough that this is the only thing that seems to seal/protect them) and the whole lot literally fell off overnight, polish and all. Finding a 'nail' on the pillow was nothing short of distressing!!! I was so hacked off I haven't used it since. I'm using Nail Envy now, but I can't use both together - any suggestions/ideas?

Have you tried doing a sandwich with the holos like this

layer 1 - matte topcoat
layer 2 - layla
layer 3 - layla
layer 4 - matte topcoat
layer 5 - layla

Supposed to work with any holo polish.

Possibly loola, hadn't put 2 and 2 together tbh!! I know I do buff because I can't always get the pva off in one go and leaves bits behind but I haven't had the problem before.

Thanks for the tip. It looks immense as it is but will certainly give it a go next time.

Nicole Up & Kiming Pink (streaky and makes my hands look red) with MUA Fur effect nails in fluffy puff. Bloody awful - both polish and fluff.

Well I have so many untrieds that I can't actually choose what to put on next nowadays! So I've decided upon sticking my hand in the bag and see what comes out!!

Last night was rimmel precious stones. Stunning on actually and quite surprised I put off having this on for so long! Piccie to follow!

Sally Hansen 'Fairy Teal', little disappointed as it's pretty much just one shade off of Barry M 'Watermelon' jelly.
