I bought cheapies from Amazon, they're absolutely fine! It's just the human element that goes a bit bandy........
Yeah I have the tools just not the talent. Full set of dotters big to small with bendy ends and straight ends. Spots still look like random NOT round blobs done by a 5 year old.
Maybe I should try the spatter effect if I can find a tutorial as that's where my dots seem to already veer;)

Re: What are you wearing today?
So today I'm naked as I stripped it all off for mediation that was scheduled for today. Only to find the f*****s had cancelled so I could have left it on. Somehow this didn't seem appropriate.
I'm not sure how I feel about the picture - the OH took it and cropped in harshly for his Picture a day post, but its the only one I have for now.

Its the OPI Mariah Carey liquid sand, but up really really close!
I asked him to take a picture for me and that one, if it ever materialises, will show the whole hand, but he'd just processed this crop for his own purposes so I pinched it!

Re: What are you wearing today?
HanSpan, based on that picture you have just made me buy that polish. It is so beaaaaaaaautiful.
Re: What are you wearing today?
Wooooohoo, I ordered this the other day and it's on the way to me. Not sure it'll look quite like that on my short nails surrounded by ratty cuticles though!
Thanks x

My raggedy cuticles are why OH did such a tight crop for his picture. I suspect it won't look *quite* so flash if you ever see the whole hand.
It is bloody strange feeling and the addition of two coats of seche vite to one as an experiment was a bit of a fail - rather spoilt the look although did make it less scratchy.

I spotted that in the duty free shop at Gatwick last Friday but I resisted the temptation. Not sure I'll manage to this week. All your fault HanSpan. The black/red one looks amazing as well.

It's boring and I don't like the colour. But it's for the job interview tomorrow

I've just put on Jindie Nails' Candyland. And once again I've made a bloody mess of it, user difficulty rating 10. Streaky, blobby, patchy, sticky uppy glitter, thin brush and Extreme Fishing!!
Edit: Not saved by the Seche either!

Good luck Laura.
Sorry to those of you who'se no spend I've ruined with the liquid sand. Now wearing the purple, I'd have had the black/red but she was was out of stock!
Its almost a bitch to get on - the first coat looks like its going to be a total disaster, but miraculously the second seems to fix it all. I do have the urge to file the ends though as they are really really scratchy. I shall have to see how they are tomorrow after abluting.

Re: What are you wearing today?
How did you go after your ablutions HanSpan?! I tried the blue today and I loved it - I found it really easy to put on, but I exercised no care whatsoever, just slapped it on in a rush, maybe that helped! It was equally easy to take off which I was surprised at. It did seem to have quite a lot of wear on the tips thoughand I only had it on for a couple of hours.HanSpan wrote:Good luck Laura.

Now just putting on Zoya Aurora. This is like the more refined daintier cousin to China Glaze Atlantis, but it's taking a while to dry. I'm starting to have a few doubts about my application ability as this is a bit streaky too. I'd have rated myself at a 3 out of 10, but now I'm thinking I'm maybe a 1.5 as I've messed up or struggled with nearly everything I've put on this week!!..

Re: What are you wearing today?
I've just put Rimmel Climax on after having naked nails for three weeks. I'm short of time and this one always goes on well and dries quickly.
My nails are so dry, they're really not looking good at the moment.

I have times when it doesn't seem to matter what I do its all a complete mess, I'm never sure if its me or the polish though!
The rough edges were pretty OK after a shower and its still on today but there is much more tip wear than with most things I use. I tend to leave something on for a week but this is clearly not going to stand up to a week of typing, let alone everything else its likely to get put through over the weekend................ no nothing exciting - just rebuilding the house after we had new windows and a door fitted last week;)

Re: What are you wearing today?
Thank you- been experimenting to reduce my untries. I get really inspired by all these lovely blog posts then don't try cool stuff that often. I want to combine layering, stamping and gems next- so many pretty pics out there. Loving accent nails this month.

Re: What are you wearing today?
Misa Shop til you Drop for me today (and wholly appropriate given my little spree this afternoon...!). It is possibly the easiest polish I've used, a 'Fisher Price my first polish' candidate!!I've never been happy with two coats before but this one's perfect at 2.
