Re: Latest purchases
Whenever that happens to me I message the seller with a pic of the parcel with the insufficient postage sticker on and they usually refund the P&P cost. The threat of an impending neg usually makes them cough up anyway

Picked up a bottle of Midtown Magic (China Glaze) from Sallys on Saturday. Sticker said £3.90, it rang through at £1.85

Well, I picked up my parcel today and the envelope simply had a second class stamp on it. I feel bad for the seller because the polish plus postage only cost me about £3.00 in total, but then she should really have weighed the package.

i heart my hubby
Hubby came home today with pretties for me - Models Own Nail Art pen in Gold and Silver, plus Gold Rush and Boogie Nights. I mentioned I liked the smell from my first few I tried and something must have sunk in He says it was just because but now I'm wondering what he bought himself on the sly... a little. They do sparkle very nicely.

Re: Latest purchases
Well I've not had much luck with the seller. Her response was that she spoke to her post lady who was not sure why it had happened and all the other OPI she sent were fine.......... Not sure what to do now.xoxo wrote:Whenever that happens to me I message the seller with a pic of the parcel with the insufficient postage sticker on and they usually refund the P&P cost. Re: Latest purchases
It could be that yours got caught in the sorting offices whereas the others didnt. Still, it's not fair that you should have to pay when it's probably her fault. If she took it to a PO and had it weighed and it was undercharged then she should claim from royal mail for it. But she should be refunding you.
Did you take a photo of the package with the underpaid postage on to show her? I'd try explaining it to her that even though the others didn't get caught, yours did, and it's her fault for not ensuring there was sufficient postage paid on it and that really she should be refunding you. If she doesn't then neg her. She might offer you a refund for revised feedback then

Thanks xoxo, it's nice to know I'm not in the wrong - I was starting to question myself. I offered to send her a photo of the envelope with the yellow revenue protection sticker plus a scan of the card from the Post Office but she didn't refer to that bit at all.

Re: Latest purchases
You're definitely not in the wrong and I'm actually amazed she hasnt just refunded you the charge. Ive had this problem a few times and I cant remember a single time the seller hasnt just refunded me. eBay won't get involved though so it's going to be you against the seller to get it back - i'd persevere out of principal though.
I can't remember now what you bought, was it an OPI polish? If so a second class stamp won't cover it. It's too fat to go through the letter slot and should have been charged as a large letter at least. Any "post lady" would know this and charge accordingly - so I don't buy that she's spoken to hers who doesn't know what happened!

Re: Latest purchases
Reply saying that this one didn't she must have been lucky in the past and would she make arrangements for a refund of the additional postage paid!
UPDATE
An update on my eBay purchase - the seller refunded my postage via PayPal when I sent her photos of the envelope. I notice that she has had a few neutral feedbacks in the last few days from two other people who bought an OPI polish and were also charged for deficient postage.

I got about 7 Kiko polishes today from Italy, they're lovely colours but quite thin! I found they flooded my cuticles very easily which was annoying. I'm sure I'll learn to work with them

Bit of a purple theme there.
The jade polish is lovely, I've got that one myself.

Re: Latest purchases
Those look lovely polishaddict I was so good yesterday - I went to town, went in to Superdrug and everything, and didn't buy any polishes! I will admit to walking around Superdrug with a handful of polishes that I didn't particularly want, but they were colours I didn't have (in that particular brand). But then this self-control/sense came from somewhere, and I put them all back.
I did spend a fair amount of money on clothes though. But it's my Christmas and New Year's Eve party outfits!

Re: Latest purchases
Picked up a couple of fillers today when I was collecting my shiny new glasses. Ended up buying Goth Me Up Miss Sporty after spotting it on one of the blogs this week, Matt White and Dusky Mauve Barry Ms and MUA Leo beads. Must remember not to play with the beads unless the cat is sleeping otherwise my nails won't stand a chance.
It might just be that this particular Superdrug shop had been rejiggled, but I couldn't see GOSH cosmetics anywhere. They used to take up a considerable space next to perfumes but now, poof, they've disappeared. Have I missed something? Not a happy bunny as all the make up has been pushed to the back of the shop so took ages to find my favourite brands.

Re: Latest purchases
Nipped into B&M Bargains this morning for some monster munch (staple food of foreign hols obviously!) and they had some 3 packs of NYC for £1.99. I picked up 2 and they were the following colours:
Grand Central Station (Clear topcoat)
Pier 17 (gorgeous deep blue colour)
Mulberry Street (like a creamy, iridescent shade)
Sidewalkers (Grey)
MoMa (raspberry shade)
Big City Dazzle (stunning pinky/blue glitter)
Happy bunny

Re: Latest purchases
I have Big City Dazzle and its lovely. NYC is one of my fave of the cheaper brands. Think it lasts well.
