See, I liked aiden, but sometimes the nice ones don't just do it for you. In the end you have to go where your heart takes you.
I cried buckets at the first film

I cried so much I snotted!
I have been in that sitting in the bedroom not even wanting the blinds open, eat or drink. It just sat so at home with me.
Men, huh! trouble.

I love Leverage.
I'm absolutely gutted though...they've just cancelled it after 5 seasons!
It's worth watching though!

Something I really enjoyed which hasn't been mentioned is Revenge. It's not funny but it is very dramatic (and over-the-top).
And I ditto Glee, Smash and Girls. And Suburgatory, though I didn't really find it funny I still liked it.

Did you ever watch Girls in the end Sarah? I've just finished watching the first series and I'd be interested to know what you thought.

I love Revenge! It's so soapy Dallasy over the top lol.
Anyone seen the new Kevin Bacon one, 'The Following'? I actually screamed at episode 2 last night it made me jump that much It's brilliant, very psychological, very jumpy.
Re: Tv shows??
I thought that looked really good, but I was pretty sure it would be gory so I gave it a miss.Jane (pulliptears) wrote:Anyone seen the new Kevin Bacon one, 'The Following'? I actually screamed at episode 2 last night it made me jump that much It's brilliant, very psychological, very jumpy.

Episode 1 was gory, episode 2 wasn't, though it did make me jump

Re: Tv shows??
Agreed, completely. My boyfriend & I did a marathon from season 1 all the way up to current (halfway through s5, I think?), and we -loved- it. Gutted that we have to wait for the rest to air!Jane (pulliptears) wrote:Breaking Bad.
There has never been a better TV series, nor will there ever be again.
If you like Glee/Smash/etc, I'd recommend Nashville. It's... I dunno. I'd describe it as a bit like Desperate Housewives meets country music, but it's surprisingly catchy! I gave it a spin after being upset with Glee about the recent music-swiping fiasco, and was pleasantly surprised!
Other favourites; Fringe (Lost's sci-fi younger sister?), Castle (Nathan Fillion as a writer follows a hot lady cop around, several seasons of will-they-won't-they, also some entertaining 'murder mysteries' to boot), Elementary (if you liked BBC's Sherlock, try it out; has Lucy Liu as a lady Watson!).
I could recommend more, but I could also sit here and waffle all day. I watch too much tv...
Re: Tv shows??
I don't have a TV at uni. The only things I currently care to watch are:
American Dad
Catfish
My Mad Fat Diary
Other than that, if it's on I'll watch it (if Supernatural is on, I'll flick to that!) but generally I'm not fussed about missing things. Loved American Horror Story in Season 1 but Season 2 is pointlessly gory and so I've stopped watching it. It's not scary and there's just too much 'Oh, what can we do to make the audience squeal this quarter of an hour?' for me.
I do love a bit of trash TV when I'm near a set though - Teen Mom, 16 and Pregnant, Jezza K
