For the third night....
I've been kicked out of bed by OH cause my coughing is keeping him awake! The miracle the chemist promised me earlier has not worked. It's a good job this sofa is comfy!
Re: For the third night....
That sucks, hope you feel better soon, nobody wants to be ill over xmas. Think I'm starting with a cold today.

How's the cough and cold now shoppingaddict? I hope you're feeling better.
OH has only just got over his cold - it seemed to linger on for over two weeks.

Re: For the third night....
It's been three weeks tomorrow and the cough has gone! However my nose is still blocked up. Hurts to blow my nose and keep getting headaches. Was taking to MIL tonight and she says it may be worth a trip to the docs to get it looked at. Particularly as sinux etc isn't working
Re: For the third night....
Bite the bullet, go to the docs - three weeks is a long time. Could be an infection (although these days the docs seem able to tell just by looking that it's viral and not bacterial without a doing a culture. I'm sure it depends on how many antibiotics they've got left from their quota to dish out that week!!!). Take carex

Re: For the third night....
Yup, I know where you're coming from. We moved from our last quack because my son (aged three then) had a chest infection coming, and he has had several bouts of bronchiolitis, hospitalised once, so I asked for a same day appointment for him. All of the appointments had been taken so I was told to phone the emergency doc at 5.30pm that day. I phoned, and was told to take him to my GP in the morning........ Still no appointments available.
Moved surgeries and can now be guaranteed to be seen in morning surgery if prepared to wait. Better, granted, but the wait has always been between 2 and 3.5 hours. With 4 other kids and a baby in tow during the summer holidays it didn't seem quite as wonderful.......
Get on the phone tomorrow, it's in the surgery's best interest to offer an appointment now - apparently any unwarranted visits to minor injuries / A&E etc. are now charged back to the surgery (according to our local councillor)!
Sleep tightx

Re: For the third night....
Well the doctor was quite thorough, he checked my eyes nose and eyes! Basically said it was a virus (a cold) that was dragging on a bit. Gave me a prescription for some stronger nasal spray to see if that helps. Now at sainsburys waiting 45 mins to get the damn thing filled. Humph
On a positive note oh called to invite me out to lunch which is nice. To macdonalds...... Lol

Re: For the third night....
Fingers crossed the nasal spray will do the trick. Glad you're otherwise OK!
