Pre clean up as I can't be bothered. Wasn't happy with my mani as I couldnt get it to do what I wanted, so changed to spots then I thought it looked plain so whacked shimmer and glitter on.

They look great, I'll add that to the list of manis I want to copy. Not got any of the sand polishes though so I'll have to use regular polish.

the blue is Sinful midnight blue and it gorgeous. I did also dab on Accessorize crystal shimmer for the glitter effect

all base colours and stamping using sinful 24/7 black on black and snow me white

I cannot believe how well they all stamped especially they bright pink/ I just cant seem to get an accurate picture how bright and clear it actually is

I've got slightly worn blackish holoish nails taht need fixing or removing so I'm contemplating some stamping.
What would be a good colour to use to stamp over later. Cream? Silver? Pewter?

That's what I'm looing for suggestions for! As my last choice of base and stanmping combo was so bleugh I'm wondering what you guys would use to stamp over a black holo?

Ah right, sorry, misread your post. That's a tough one, I'm not sure what would work over a black holo. I'd probably go for silver.

Interestingly, I was just reading about a better way of stamping light colours over dark. Fill and scrape with white, then fill & scrape with colour, then stamp. I presume the white base helps the colour to stand out. Might be worth a try.

Most nails are 2 coats of sinful colours hottie over a pale blue. The fishtail nails is BarryM Gelly Blueberry, Nails Inc Serpentine Road and Nails Inc Motcomb Street.

The Sinful Colors Hottie looks really pretty star_struck. I didn't manage to get hold of that one when they were on offer at Boots.

Took your advice and went for silver - the Barry M foil one which is no problem over a dark colour! Its turned out pretty good I think. Pics some other time though as OH has run off with the camera.

I'm wearing Solitaire liquid sand. It looked good until I slapped a coat of Juggle men on it and then topcoated it. Now it looks like porridge, but it's mighty hardwearing!!

A word of warning though - Liquid Sand is just as much of a bitch to remove as glitter as far as I can tell! I'm currently sporting chipped, half removed Stay The Night Liquid Sand.

Surprised about the Liquid Sand being hard to remove. The kiko and zoya texture's were like normal. Does the OPI have lots more glitter in them?

I haven't found the liquid sands more difficult to remove than normal glitter,even when I put about five layers of top coat on it (I was desperately trying to make it shiny!)

Yes, the one I'm wearing does have a lot of glitter in it, so it's just like removing glitter polish.

I used my trusty essence peel of base coat with my two liquid sands and it worked a treat
