Oh yes - I see it now. I had no idea it would come out looking like that! In my head you'd stamped the lines not the vaguely triangular shapes.
I think I may have to do a test stamp of each onto a piece of paper now as I didn't fancy that pattern as it looked on the plate.
See it screamed giraffe to me as soon as I saw it, but maybe that's because I'm a little bit in love with giraffes.
Nope - no matter how many times I look at the plate it just looks like random triangles with rounded off corners. Mind you I am very symbol blind (blobbery as I call it - as that's what most symbols look like to me) so I think the problem is my brain not interpreting shapes like most people.

Thanks Loola. I'm afraid I'm going to bore the pants off everyone over the next few weeks with my stamping pics. A bit obsessed with my new plate

Yep, Ninja. I enquired ages ago about when it would be back in stock and it wasn't on the horizon so they kindly sorted out a scratch'n dent for me - it has one tiny dimple somewhere insignificant and they gave me a discount so I'm really pleased

I love this - both pattern and colours
My NOTD is kind of meh - Bourjois Abricot oaute; a pale peach, a bit like Chanel June/BL Kerfuffle. I suppose it's pretty, it just a bit nondescript. Need to think of something to liven it up!

Re: What are you wearing today?
OPI DS Radiant, one coat; H&M Jo is in the house, 2 coats and a DRK stamp (from one of the little ruler thingies) in Konad black.
I'd like to say this was before clean up, but this was the best I could manage I can't get into those pesky little bits around the edges.

Ooh,very fancy Loola!
My striping tape arrived today so I've had a little experiment this evening I used Sinful Colors Courtney Orange first, then did some tape lines and painted over with black. It's all very messy and I need to prep more but it's a start!

Re: What are you wearing today?
Thanks ladies! Someone actually asked me to do their nails for them when they saw these the other day, that's never happened before! I put it down to the holo glitter......
Sue, I keep reading about striping tape - do you use it like masking tape and use it then peel it off leaving lines of polish behind, or does it stay on as part of the mani?

Re: What are you wearing today?
I peeled it off so that the colour under the black shows through,I'm too cack handed to fiddle around cutting it neat enough to actually use as lines on my nails
This explains it better

Mine aren't that fancy though,I just did a couple of diagonal lines on each nail Seemed to take ages too as you have to wait for the bottom colour to dry thoroughly first *yawn*

Re: What are you wearing today?
I love that Loola. I need a decent black polish for stamping. What do you use? Can you recommend one? The ones I've tried so far have been too thin.

So yesterday's very long task was stamping both Lealac plates onto a piece of paper. The giraffe still looks like blobs to me so I tried OH and he said "plectrums" so I decided to try them on my nails, over the GOSH galaxy with spectraflair topcoat, plus pinkies with an added coat of Femme Fatale Emberstone on one, Dragonscale on the other.
I picked ELF chocolate for the stamp. And EWWW! Yours look georgous Starry and mine lookd depressing and pants!

Decided it was so dreary I tried adding emberstone to ring and thumb with a tiny brush over just the stamp - not much good, so covered ring and middle with emberstone. Still not great.
Other hand without the added embelishments - dreary!

and OMG look at the state of the skin round my fingers. Been very stressed last few days.

Pretty! I've found the PVA glue painted onto the cuticles first trick is fantastic - I have the same problem usually with bits getting under my cutucles and then I pick & rip at them so the PVA is a godsend.

Is that the one 4 rows down and 3 in? If so it looks much nicer on your nails than on my sheet of paper! I had thought it would look to busy but it looks elegant on you.
Can I employ you to stamp every single one, then do a gallery of them all in the same order as on the plate?
Actually on second thoughts - can I just employ you to come and stamp mine?

Hmmm, not sure why that's not turned out quite right. Perhaps the colours you chose are wrong. I used a very pale shimmery colour for the base (an ancient Special FX bottle that the name has long since worn off) and stamped with Sally Hansen Real Royal. I think the colour you stamped with is ok, its the base that isn't right. Needs to be paler, more golden toned.

Yes that's the one, 4 down and 3 in. You're right, it does turn out more delicate on the nail than it looks on the plate. I think that's the first time anyone has ever used the work "elegant" in connection with me My OH would find that very amusing, he's always reminding me that I should behave like a lady (fat chance).
No doubt I'll be working my way through them all over the next few weeks, so when I have I'll do a gallery in the same order as the plate. You don't need me to stamp them for you, your stamping looks fine. I think much depends on the choice of colours with stamping.
Have you ever had a look at Chloe's Nails? She doesn't seem to blog anymore (more's the pity) but it's worth a trawl through her older posts. Some of her stamping was so good it made me whimper.
