Re: What's On Your Mind?
First day back at work today after a week away. My work broadband has developed a fault while I've been away and is now so slow I can hardly do any work. Very sad indeed. Feet up this afternoon I think. BT engineer coming tomorrow.

Yes it's one of the drawbacks of working from home. When your system is down you can't help out by doing something else, e.g. clearing out the stationery cupboard, making the brews etc. And when the office is 250 miles away it's not like you can go and work in the office for the day. It's all very sad.

I'd never dream of doing something else even when the internet is up and running...I feel your pain! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: What's On Your Mind?
Slightly pissed off as I found out today that someone I clean for has returned home after a stint in hospital and no-one had bothered to tell me.She was obviously expecting me as one of her carers messaged me to see if I was aware that she was home and was I going in to her.I'd already re-arranged my other jobs assuming she wouldn't be home. The most annoying thing is the woman across the road from me also goes in to help her and neither she or either of the daughters let me know (The woman herself is elderly and wouldn't think to ring me herself )
And then I've just tried to book dirt cheap tickets to see my daughters theatre 'hero' in a cabaret show and they were sold out.Pooh. Roll on the weekend....!

God I am clueless lol, I really need to find out how to do these things.
I don't really like this site on my phone I have to say, having to go through each page of a thread to get to the end is so irritating lol
Thankfully I have a laptop

Gah!!! I did a big load of washing this morning and decided to hang it outside on the airer to dry as the sun has been out a couple of times. It's been blown over by the wind twice and now it's started bloody raining!

Re: What's On Your Mind?
I've given up using forums on my phone. Can never type properly.
am on a conf call, have some rice cooking and thinking should have turned it off before I went on the call. Am soooo hungry as well

Re: What's On Your Mind?
It's not the typing that I have a problem with, it's just not very user friendly I find. Maybe there's an app that's easier to use?
I really want an iPad!

While everyone else sends their boyfriends mushy messages on Facebook, I just told mine that he's brain damaged and shit at the drums.

No, but I am leaving a cotton wool ball soaked in remover on each nail for a few minutes.SueD wrote:Have you tried the foil method? That's how I removed it
