Ugliest Nail Polish?
Which is your ugliest nail polish: one that no matter hard you try you can't get it to look good?
For me it has to be Models Own Mixed Up. I love Models Own (including the Mirrorballs!) but this one is hideous IMO. I bought it because it looked great in the bottle, I mistakenly thought it was a black base with holo glitter but no, it's ugly small black glitter with the odd piece of small holo glitter. No matter what I try to wear it with it just ruins the look of whatever I'm wearing underneath.
How about you guys? What's your ugliest polish? What's the ugliest polish you've seen (online or in person)?

Re: Ugliest Nail Polish?
Googling swatches I am shocked models own released that. Some bloggers have made it look nice- how? I want this skill.
My mind is blank but I must have seen some horrors.

Re: Ugliest Nail Polish?
It looks OK in pictures over plain black. Is that still no good Muffy?
For me Revlon Aloof - it was interesting immediately following application - but even by the next ****** morning it was still chewy like toffee and bedsheet marks really didn't improve it.
In fact there was another one like that - black chunky holo from (can't remember) that refused to ever dry. So it looked fine when I put it on, and like a dogs dinner by the next day regardless of what I did.
Oh and now I'm on a roll - the silver patterned foil (the only one I've ever worn out as it scarred me for life) which looked really fab on application but had rubbed off to an unpleasant patchy mess before I even walked out of the front door!

An Eye Candy (same make as (InVogue) crackle from Sainsbury's. It looked really pretty, almost duochromey coral/blue. It didn't crackle and was a transparent-ish glaze which just stayed wet and dragged and totally buggered up whatever was underneath. Probably the only one I've binned!
Those Nails Inc beadeds look a bit dodgy though.....!

Yeah it looks nice over black, but you could get just a holo glitter without the black and be able to wear it over other colours.HanSpan wrote:It looks OK in pictures over plain black. Is that still no good Muffy?

I'm thinking that was probably the kleancolour one - gorgeous in the bottle but absolutely refused to dry for me. Horrible stuff

Oh dear, were the sequins really bad? I can't afford them, perhaps a good thing I'm on an indefinite no-buy then as I really wanted them all!

Re: Ugliest Nail Polish?
I blogged about the Barry M sequins today and it wasn't exactly favourable! I've had comments from other people saying they hated them too and I was just reading another blog and she said she hated it too! So disappointed! I really wanted to love the sequin effects! They look lovely in the bottle!
Re: Ugliest Nail Polish?
Gosh those Barry M Sequins are really something...
The worse one I've used is 17 Gold and Black Crackle Top. Firstly it doesn't even crack and second it's soooo gloopy and thick, like almost no liquid content. Thinning it out did nothing to salvage it either.
Then Nails Inc Beaded Polish has to mentioned. I blogged about it the other day. This is a photo [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

That awful Barry M Cobweb effect .... my youngest daughter was so excited about that as she loves anything Halloween inspired - such a disappointment!

I actually think it might be that beaded effect stuff top of the list for me from the pictures.
It looks like some sort of yeast infection.....
