talk to me about holos...

Now the sun is finally out, I'm in a holo mood  I've got a couple of good silver ones (layla & gosh) and a purple (jade). I really want to get a medium blue and maybe a green or teal - but the exact shade is much less important than getting a really strong holo effect...

So which brands have the holo-iest holos? Color Club? Layla? Jade? Hits? Someone else I haven't thought of? I know I can google swatches, but I never quite trust them - I'd much rather have recommendations from you lovely people

I like Color Club. I was wearing something the other week that I raved about and have completely forgotten what it was. Thats really bad

Personally I am waiting to totally fall in love with the Lillypads that Sally is going to stock, I'm hoping these are going to be the holo-est of them all. Nothing like setting your sights rather high

I loved my Laylas until I met Mrs Color Club. The effect is the strongest I've come across yet - how about over the moon for a mid blue?
Emily de Molly Amazonia is a gorgeous green, but the holo effect isn't as quite as strong as the CCs.

CC's every time for me. Best halos out there thus far!

Oooh, I do like the look of CC Over the Moon - shame Sal doesn't seem to have it at the moment :(I was thinking about Layla Ocean Rush - but if you all think the CCs are definitely more holo, I might just need to be patient  (not my strong point!)

Any opinions on the Hits No Olimpo 2013 range yet? Poseidon looks rather lovely...

I have Hits No Olimpo Hera, the original version which I love,it's a kind of aqua colour? I use top coat and when I wore it earlier this week it lasted me three days of wear before it started to chip.There are a couple of blues in the new range I also have a Jade but in Magia which is pretty gorgeous too I don't have any Layla's or Colour Club's to compare it with though.

Same here Loola! I think the laylas are a tiny bit more holo that color clubs- but they are such a pain to apply. I only get really great results with laylas using aqua base coat, reaaaally careful application (to get rid of bald spots) and no top coat. Color clubs apply like a normal polish.

The new Hits Apolo is a mid blue, and very lovely

I'd like to try a Colour Club, for me the Jades are the winners so far. Stunning.

ive only tried color club and layla... and i can totally recommend them specially the color clubs

Color club are stunning, think they are my best holos in my collection.

Earlier today I wandered past a swatch of a Llarowe polish called Gizmo. Its a green holo I've not ever seen anything like before. I really want it.

Nope,,only seen the swatches on the Fashion Polish blog.I really want a green holo at some point  

i was thinking... have u thought about buying an holo topper? that way all ur polishes can be holographic i bought one and im happy with the results

Nubar Reclaim is a lovely green one, easy to find on line and easy to use

I have hits hefesto (last years version) - it does work quite well... Except that I find that if I use toppers (glitter, crackle etc), I end up with too many coats of polish and it all just peels off after a couple of days (I've actually had a couple of nails pop off while I'm just walking along before!). I think it's because I just can't get enough sparkle and just pile it on

I love Laylas, I think I own eight of them now. They're great holos. I have a couple of Jades too and they're pretty impressive.

I haven't tried Color Club yet but after reading this thread I definitely want to.
