Born Pretty Holos

These look pretty nice, I like the look of the orange one especially. I don't have an orange holo.

I saw it when you first stocked it but couldn't find any swatches but have had a look now and it looks gorgeous. Defo one for my to-buy list.

Gosh that was a quick sale.
Didn't order- I am reluctant to order holos without decent swatches, some are not worthy to be called holo lol.

The nice looking deep jade teal one that I ordered arrived this morning.  It's a fairly average washed out mid blue in reality and nothing like the photo IMO.  I also ordered some water decals and these were creased to buggery and shoved in a jiffy bag that was far too small.
Somehow, I doubt they will publish my reviews.........

That's so disappointing Loola, I wonder if they will refund you the  decals.
Shame about the polish- I am wary of certain swatches.

Loola, get the lilypads, they will kick the arse of any other holo, and the swatches are good. I am rarely so vociferous of products, but they are astonishing

I'd love to hear what you think of it Sue, I can be over scathing sometimes!

They are sending me three of the holos to review (I think the teal was one of them) so I will report back also.

I was one of the unlucky ones who ordered from Born Pretty and never received my polish. Thank god it was a relatively small order. I was tempted by their offers of sending samples for review but I couldn't in good conscience give them blog space!

Was there a whole load of orders go astray Geordie? I didn't know that people had had trouble with BP.

After my experience I'd heard a mixed bag - lots of people who ordered over and over with no issues, some people whose orders never arrived. To be fair, when I emailed them they were asking me to go to my post office depot and chase it up with them - and at the time I wasn't well enough to do that so I just cut my losses.

I've always been fine with Born Pretty.  I've ordered from them twice and everything has always arrived.  The stuff they send me to review isn't always exactly what I asked for, but I always tell them and they rectify any mistakes.

I'm really into holos again this season, I've gone off them for a while but they are the best during the spring/summer when the sun makes them very prismatic

Right, I haven't posted these on my blog yet, but thought I'd just show them so you can see, I was pretty impressed though.

First off, my only experience of holos is the China Glaze OMG collection and the original GOSH holo, and I found these to be just as good (and much easier to apply, no streaking issues at all which I find with the GOSH, as beautiful as it is).  In dull light you can't see the holo as much, but I would have thought that is to be expected (again, what I've found with my limited previous experience) but in sunlight and office light they are lovely.  Also, I didn't top coat, so I can't comment on whether that dulls the effect, but I usually put a matte base coat on which stops the chipping.

Thanks Sossidge! Could you let me know which shade is which please? Either the jadey one that I bought (that looks blue) looks better on you (probable...) or my bottle's a dud!

My one hasn't arrived yet,it was despatched on the 4th of June.
