I'm currently sporting a chipped mani of ILNP Sirene, which I heart very very much, and seeing as it's dancing tonight, I think I'll try and fill in the blank bits and keep it going for a couple of days, or I might stick a crackle over it to hide the gaps   

I spent last night swatchign options for Dad's funeral. Is that slightly weird and obsessed?
I've had two funerals in the past few years and wore Black Swan to one and something I forget to the other. Black swan is currently winning the race although it does seem a bit dull. I just can't find anything less dull that isn't a bit much. Difficult!
If I were wearing Navy I'd be OK but I've optesd for black with a massive hat and I'm finding it far harder to 'match' polish to it that isn't just black.
Ah well, its keeping my mind off everything else!

Naked again. Put black crackle over Sirene and ruined it   it took away all the multichrome-y loveliness and made it look all dark and horrible, and it chipped again so I've given up and took it off again this morning. I didn't have time to replace it with anything and my nails are peeling and horrible looking again so I think I'll give them a few days of air & oil-ing.

So sorry to hear of your loss Han - Just a thought but if you have a matte black have you tried stamping over it with a clear hi shine polish at all? Might be a way to lift a black mani somehow. The other option might be a twish of a french mani but with black tips, perhaps accentuated with some silver or gold striping tape?

DiscoDiva - BOOo to the crackle not working. It;s such a rick sometimes. I've used colour combos before that I though would be a sure fire winner that looked like a dogs breakfast in real life!

I'm really sorry about your Dad, Han. Whatever you choose I'm sure he will have appreciated the effort. You're right, polish is a good distraction from our problems. I hope it all goes as well as it can - hugs xx

Thanks for the kind words. I don't think I'm up to stamping at the moment! I'm worrying a bit that I will struggle to get a tidy look with a dark colour as I seem to have the DTs already!
I'm taking some options with me - I may go for the Dance Legends magnetic topcoat over blak if I feel I can not jiggle too much and fuck it up!

ILNP Reminisce.  I'm loving this one just as much as Sirene, and the formula is better.

It is nice Sue, depends what you're looking for though, this is quite a gold/yellow toned green indoors, but the teal/blue becomes more visible when I go outdoors. Was the Dance Legend one yellow toned?

The DL one was kind of too limey/charteuse for what I wanted really,Mutagen by ILNP was way too pale most of the time, but that one looks like the green is quite dark?I'm not likely to order it but it's worth knowing it's nice just in case one pops up on a sale page...

Ooh that looks lush. Most of the greeny ones I've bought/seen are too goldy/yellow for me. I want GREEN! with some blue or purple is fine, or maybe even yellow/orange/red, but not that goldy colour of the Models own I have - Ick!

Liquid Sky Lacquer Gumdrop Forest. I LOVE it! So pretty. A couple of small chips/tip wear and have bust my right index finger down to the quick again   but as it's survived so well, I think I'll fill in the gaps and re-topcoat ready for dancing tonight. Think I'll use undies next time though as it's still sheer after 3 coats.

I finally got round to trying a LD polish I got at xmas.  I'm wearing one coat of LD Sheer Frenzy over Orly Liquid Vinyl.  I think Sheer Frenzy will look good over lots of colours.  It has tiny little flecks of blue and pink (which as usual, hardly show in a photo).

I did skittles on Weds for Purple Day for Epilepsy Awareness, Beauty UK Jelly Bean on my thumbs, Rimmel Sweetie Crush Violet Swizzle on my index fingers, a W7 purple on my middle fingers that I can't tell the name of (*think* it's Purple Rain after a bit of Googling), ILNP Amanda Huginkiss on my ring fingers, and then on my pinkies, Rimmel Metal Rush Purple Reign-which looked shite on it's own so I've layered over it with Miss Sporty Oh My Gem Be A Star (glitter). It's all chipped now so will be coming off when I get home from work. Still undecided if I'm going out tonight or not, but if I do, fingers will be going red to match my toenails (which have Nails Inc Roland Street on).

I wasn't sure about the Sea Goddess Collection, then I saw some brilliant photos and was hooked. Tried 3 so far and they rock :-)

I took a lot of the length off my nails the other day so I've gone for nude nails.  NI Basil Street with and accent of LD Gold Digger.  I've had Basil Street for at least a couple of years and never got round to trying it but I like it.  Should have tried it sooner.

Hey Stationaryace, What's the issue with the consistency? Too thick or too thin?

I'm currently in an unknown shade of beigeish as a base coat (Umberto Gianni gift set from crimbo) with black Moyou laquer stamped over it in a wordy text design. I'll try post some pics later.

Doesn't look too bad on a shorter nail thank god (I have some ideas I'm itching to get tried but want to get a longer nail in place first as I reckon it will look better)
