101's the non-emergency police number and 111 is the NHS Direct replacement! Although I had to call 111 a couple of nights ago and it is a terrible service - scripted questions and advice from an unqualified call centre worker that didn't get to the nature of my problem at all.

Don't worry, my little toe is hiding amongst the bandage!!  No progress yet other than feeling rather bleurgh, they said it would probably take 24 hours until it starts to go down though. I'm just a bit pissed off that the doctor didn't pick it up yesterday before it got so bad and I've wasted nearly £8 on tube of hydrocortisone I don't need. Still, worse things happen at sea as my Gramfer used to say.

Gosh, I do hope not.

It is definitely 111. I don't know if they're any better now, but they were definitely pretty useless when it was launched. From what I gather, no one had actually received any training. Everyone just ended up being sent to A&E which caused havoc in our Trust...there were no spare beds to be found anywhere!

Feeling so sick this morning. My foot is not looking any better yet, but at least it hasn't got any worse.

I'm in St Ives now.   I think it's the antibiotics making me feel a bit ropey that's all. I've been told to keep a close eye on my foot and observe the redness and biro line carefully - I can double up on the antibiotics tomorrow if there is no improvement. Just trying to make the most of things and enjoy the time away.  

I may kill a few seagulls in the next seven days though...........

I wish I had a life again. Spent this evening looking at old photographs on Facebook. Looks like I used to have fun.

Did that last night SA, and I like them for once so dont want to take them off!!!
