Fair enough. Normally I would have taken my current polish off and redone it tonight, but I'm hoping for some sun tomorrow so I can get a piccie of my halo polish! My fingers are itchy!! lol

A life, yes well its one of those things that I used to have but for some reason lost. My friends all grew up and had babies. I'm the one left behind.

OH's family love St Ives, so I've been down there a few times. Their friend's son has recently opened a place called the Rum and Crab Shack (does what it says on the tin) which has all big comfy chairs and things and quite a nice atmosphere (indeed, there's a chair in there that was OH's grandads). I always end up spending far too much money in that little alcohol shop though...so many pretty bottles...

Ugh. Baba, can I join your poorly club? I have a luminous white strep throat. I went to bed at 2.30pm yesterday and have only just got up. Neck hurts, head hurts, throat feels like barbed wire. I don't feel quite 'with it' either. Lovely sister has just brought all of my US polishes round and I was only vaguely interested. Now that's serious!!!!

Oh no Loola! I hope you feel much better soon.

I was ready to double up on antibiotics from this afternoon and all set to have to make yet another emergency appointment with a doctor tomorrow morning. However, I think my toes and ankle feel a little freer this evening and the colour doesn't seem quite as livid so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the antibiotics are finally starting to kick in. That sounds promising Baba! I hope that finally you're on the mend.
I'm still struggling, and need to hang in there for the last two days of term tomorrow and Tuesday - my eldest is leaving Primary this year and it's a big deal for him.

Thanks Sue, he's a sensitive little soul! Have promised him a facebook account to soften the blow and so that he can keep in touch with his friends that are going to different schools. He's hoping to add to his trophy cabinet on Tuesday too (he has a few football trophies, not because he's any good at footie, but he won their charity cup and a loyalty award; he also has the school chess trophy Shocked ) - he's desperate to win the 'calculator on legs' award (he's a bit of a maths celebrity at school, and has achieved the highest results ever in SATS in both maths and literacy at the school - but has remained very popular with his mates as he's down to earth and very low key about it all). We also keep very quiet about it but it's nice to be able to have a proud Mum moment just for once Embarassed
When he leaves his place will be filled by one of his little brothers and his eldest sister will be starting in year six so we get to do this all over again in a year's time.......!

I'm really sad, a piano was being auctioned on eBay in our hometown, this is like gold dust as my boyfriend is agoraphobic and can't travel out of town to look at pianos elsewhere

He went to play it, stuck £200 on eBay and told me under no circumstances do I bid anymore as it's not worth even £200.

It sold for £205 this morning Sad I tried to log in and bid more but my connection failed. Fate I guess.

I'm just really sad about it because he's wanted a piano his whole life, he's an amazing pianist and can never find a "real" one in this town that he's allowed to play.

I'm back from a week in beautiful Malta and whilst snorkelling (for the first time ever !) and not even 10 minutes in, I got stung by a jellyfish ! Was unlucky to have been stung, but lucky it wasn't major. You only have to do a google search to see how horrific they can be ! Bloody jellyfish !

Thanks ! It was amazing - and a whole week with naked nails !
Don't know if this is the right or wrong thing to do, but I would put some oil on my bare nails before sunbathing - my nails haven't looked that good without any polish on for a very long time.
Come home and what's the first thing I do ? Slap some polish on of course !!

Oh no kissmenow. Was it salvaged? xx

And Baba, how did you get on with your appointment? I have visions of you being intravenously anti Bioticked this afternoon. I got some anti Bs this morning so normal service should be resumed soon. (whoever thought it was a good idea to have a sit and wait service at our surgery should be shot, feeling crap, trying to keep 2 toddlers and a baby calm and happy for over TWO HOURS affraid )

Bummer about the jellyfish Amy Jo, but glad you had a great holiday Very Happy
