Re: Words you love and hate
My German teacher's favourite word was Dudelsack - bagpipes! I loved all the long words, Umweltsfreundlichkeit and the like!

Re: Words you love and hate
i hate hate hate 'nom' makes me cringe when people say it.
When I did a teach english as a foreign language course we had to watch other teachers. One we watched did a class on text speak and abbreviations. We said it was wrong, let them learn proper english first, but as its so widely accepted these days it was deemed necessary if they were to live and get by in the UK. Sad ey (they wouldn't teach swear words though, which I would think was also necessary to live in any country)
