Re: Latest purchases
Thanks Jasmina, but I considered them too and it still worked out cheaper to buy from the USA. Well it would be cheaper if the eBay seller wasn't trying to screw me over on the combined postage.Jasmina wrote:[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Try there, there have frizzy spots and dynamic glitter as I was lusting and looking. Uk prices and http addy so postage should be reasonable.
Oops, sorry Sal.Lady S wrote:I shouldn't have clicked that link. I want superfunk now

Re: Latest purchases
Seeing that photo reminded me, I used the layla file on my nails last week and it got rid of all of my staining!! Very pleased!
Re: Latest purchases
I went to Sally's today to go and get a couple of bits I was low on for gel manicures - £10 spend max.....£66 later I left the shop!
I got the colours to do a gel French manicure, OPI Ger-manicure, 2 bottle of Nail Envy (a staple for me) that were £18.99 for £6 something and then I bought something I said I wouldn't get. I bought OPI Man With the Golden Gun..........it was £29.99 and they'd got it on sale for £10 odd and I couldn't leave it there

Bloody hell! My nearest sallys is 30 mins away near my college but I don't go back to college until end of Jan! May have to make a special trip at this rate!
Re: Latest purchases

Re: Latest purchases
Also hit up Sallys today... Set myself a limit of whatever was in my purse (a measly £2.65) and nearly managed to stick to it! I got China Glaze 'Trendsetter' (which I'm honestly not 100% sold on, but only cost me a quid so I couldn't *not* have it!) and China Glaze Glistening Snow which is GORGEOUS. It's beautiful. It's like a less saturated, lighter version of the glitter that I got in my SS And it was only £1.85!
Re: Latest purchases
Right that's it! I've got nothing planned tomorrow, OH is working so I'm going to venture out of the house for the first time in days!! Sallys here I come!
Re: Latest purchases
went for our first wander round the shops yesterday and - much to OHs disgust - I had a little polish flutter.
Andrea Fulerton set in TKMaxx with a rather exciting double ended thingy in petrol and a starlting green flaky, a pale peachy colour called Nigella I'll never use! Sparkle shine overcoat and a glitter puffer. Plus nailfiles in a cute little case tht might be useful for travelling.
Then superdrug for MUA nail constellation and a pot of fur effect nails. Love the fur effect! I've just done a few dots but I plan to use the fleur-de-lis stencils I have to create a flock wallpaper effect nail.
Then in poundland they had little bead sets - called flawless caviar - with a tiny pot of polish and a tiny pot of beads - would have been rude not to!
Of course I had to try them all and the poundland bead set has worked out better than the MUA one! MUA came off as I'd made a mess of it but my little finger still has dark blue beads with a top coat of sparkles from the Andrea Fulerton set and I think it looks rather fab if I do say so. Even OH is quite impressed.

Sky fall mini collection:
Goldeneye
The spy who loved me
The world is not enough
Live and let die
Opi Pirouette my whistle (have a mini already but love it)
Opi Lucerne-thinly look marvelous
China glaze Glistening snow
China glaze Blue bells ring
And I blame you all lol. Chatting about Sally's
Mine was pretty poor for selection, no living daylights left which inhave been umimg and ahing iver for ages. In person I can live without it then i see another swatch which makes me need it, I went back to pick Up blue bells ring.
I was debating one the china glaze Xmas sets but I only liked the red/gold glitter and don't need a teddy ha ha.
I have loads of reds and the plain one looked like a dupe of my collection. Not a bad haul for under £20.
Really annoyed though, got home and discovered a bottle was missing a brush! Luckily I don't like my china glaze patent leather top coat much so I swapped the lids.

Re: Latest purchases
I'm so jealous, my Sallys is rubbish! Went in yesterday but all they had on sale was the Man with the Golden Gun and a set with Nail Envy and a bangle. TK Maxx was empty of polishes as well

Re: Latest purchases
I didn't get a chance to go today as my father had a printer emergency which apparently is more important than my plans so I had to go there instead. Hopefully there will be something left on Thursday.
Re: Latest purchases
Well I made the trek and it really wasn't worth it. All I managed to get was nail envy for £8. That was it nothing left.
However I also popped into tk maxx and managed to pick up 4 essies for £5 and some perfume that I was after in the sale as well. However it's probably a good idea to save my money for other polishes shortly anyway!!

I'm really jealous of the Sally's purchases some of you have made..... I've been after OPI Pirouette My Whistle and China Glaze Glistening Snow for ages now.
On another note, my NYX polishes arrived a couple of days ago from the US. I haven't had a chance to swatch any of them yet, but they are gorgeous even though I was ripped off a bit on the shipping! I'll post a photo when I'm back in Devon next week.

Re: Latest purchases
I popped into tkmaxx today and picked up 2 Borghesse polishes plus a top coat for 3 pounds. Is Borghesse a decent brand? The polishes are nothing special but I like the top coat. I also got a bourjois polish which is quite nice.

I wondered whether you got the nyx yet. Glad they did post them.

Yeah I got them quite quickly thanks. Shame the postage cost more than the polish!shoppingaddict wrote:I wondered whether you got the nyx yet. Glad they did post them.

Re: Latest purchases
During my 'cant sleep' hours last night I was browsing my local selling page in Facebook and a lady had managed to get a hold of a crap load of opi polishes. I messaged her and arranged to visit this morning and this is what I got. For the sum of £25 which I didn't think was too bad!

Apparently they were damaged stock imported over to our local American air base and she got hold of them to sell on. Was quite pleased! Took me ages to go through all what she had as she had hundreds! She was selling gels as well but I'm not interested in those.
