Re: Latest purchases
I ordered some ELF polishes in their sale on Friday but they haven't arrived yet. I ordered six (though two of them are Fairy Dust, which look like a dupe of Gosh Rainbow and my one is running low). At £1 each I couldn't resist.

Re: Latest purchases
My ELF order arrived today, yay! I bought:
Fairy Dust (x2)
Twinkle
Glitter Glam
Copper
Metal Madness
So did my Sally Magpies order of The Butterfly Effect, which I'm wearing now. It's so much prettier than the swatches I saw online.
And so did my A-England order, my first polishes from the brand:
Dragon
Holy Grail (original I think, the yellow gold)
Despite vowing not to buy any, in town I bought:
2True: Glitterati Shade 3, Crystal Shade 8 and Crystal Shade 10
Sally Hansen: Fairy Teal and Ballet Rouges (Poundland*)
Outdoor Girl: Gold, Blue and Green
I'm quite disappointed because Outdoor Girl Gold is veeeery similar to A-England Dragon. It's slightly more sheer, yellow and sparkly, and all-round prettier. And it only cost £1. Ah well.
Though to be honest, the A-Englands pretty much pale in comparison to most of the other polishes I got today, which is a bit of a shame. But maybe they'll look better under natural light. The 2Trues are the nicest (after Butterfly Effect), which I wasn't expecting.
*my local Poundland were selling packs of three Collection 2000s, the only problem was that all three in each pack were the same.

I want all of the elf colours, and they are square bottles, which goes with my new mantra.

Re: Latest purchases
I'm not a great fan of elf polishes tbh. I don't like the formula and how it applys on. But maybe that's just me!
Re: Latest purchases
Fairy Dust, Twinkle, Glitter Glam and Metal Madness are gorgeous. Copper is nice too, just not as nice as the others.Lady S wrote:I want all of the elf colours, and they are square bottles, which goes with my new mantra.

Re: Latest purchases
My problem is when they are £1, I can tend to buy the entire range. Purely because its one postage charge. If its free postage I can also justify it, because I would have spent £5 on postage at least, so that is 5 polishes.
I did this with kiko when they had all their polishes discounted. I ordered about 40, because they were £1.50 each and you had to get £25 worth together for them to send it.
Kiko polishes are lovely. They also have square bottles

Have either of you tried the Kiko holographic polishes? I noticed they are on offer for £3.40 each on their website at the moment.shoppingaddict wrote:I also LOVE kilko! When I go to London next I will be revisiting!

Re: Latest purchases
I haven't, but if its anything like every other kiko product it will be immense.
Re: Latest purchases
My second Magpies order arrived today. I got:
Jade Diamond - Twist
Jade Holographic - Magia
Picture Polish - Festival
Picture Polish - Mirage
They're all gorgeous. The only thing is Mirage has a grammatical error on it which annoys me so much I almost don't want to use it.

Re: Latest purchases
I've read good stuff about KIKO too especially the dark grey holo, but no way can I do £25 at the mo. I've ordered quite a few pretties this week (Cirque XX and Fleur est Belle earlier today). I did notice that there are a few Kiko regular ploishes at a quid on their site but all of the best colours have gone already.

I'm also not a fan of ELF polishes, the pinks are all very samey even though they look different on the website! There's just something about the way they go on, they're not nice

Re: Latest purchases
Oh gosh, I've gone a bit mental with my purchases this last week or so. I bought some polish from the a-england sale, some stuff from Sal's blog sale, plus a load of polish from Amazon and now I've just ordered some from Lena White.
I'm really going to have to reorganise my Helmer.

Buying from my blog sale was like going to buy in a charity shop. It doesn't really count for anything.
