Re: Latest purchases
Erm, I think there might be one somewhere......
I've swatched them on a wheelie already, Muchos fishing required for Miasma and Winter H - Very few white diamonds and even fewer big blackies is Miasma, I've not found one yet in four coats. The glitters - promo/nailgun XS pics claim they've used 3 coats - no way! (or they must trowel it on). I've done 4 coats so far and there's still plenty of daylight showing.
Candy Land also requires serious fishing, the worst yet. Maybe because they settled in transit, I'm going to stand it on its head.
I love the Cirque XX. Really really love. Plenty of glitters, silveries, pastely, holo-y and even coverage. Can't recommend it enough to glitter lovers!

Slightly, yes. But it may take the fire out of your Acolyte desire?!!!
It also won't stop me wanting the new ones when they come out....

It was suspended starlight. It may have done. That polish is just an itch that needs to scratched...

No really, you do. XX ranks much higher than all of the Femme Fs for me. Sorry!

Re: Latest purchases
I've got a big bottle of Seche Vite waiting for me at the depot, but it's going to have to wait until the snow goes away. I was so tempted to get some OPIs but I've spent so much this week...
Re: Latest purchases
Well they only deliver weekdays and I'll be at work. Was worried they'd send it back!

Oh well that's different then. One can't risk polishes going back;)
Yesterday I had a few delivered from Amazon and I was most impressed - they had packed them sufficiently flat they came through the letterbox AND they didn't break.

Re: Latest purchases
As mentioned in another thread, I bought the Nails Inc TSV from QVC. However, it's <<gasp>> going back. Now this is strictly against everything I believe in so it's taken a lot to make this decision and indeed confess to everyone
I painted the beigey colour and was underwhelmed. I topped it off with their feather effect and I absolutely hated it.It was rough, patchy and uneven. I've got nail polish OCD so this sort of thing doesn't sit well with me! It came with a blurple and whilst a nice colour, it was unusually for Nails Inc a really streaky and iffy formulation. I'm not struck on the pin anyway and I've tried the leather effect and it's rough as anything. Call me old fashioned but for the most part, polish looks better glossy and shiny in my books.
I just feel a bit let down to be honest because I'm such a huge fan of Nails Inc
Then whilst I'm feeling a bit peeved, I should mention I ordered from A-England - my first purchase with them and I've been waiting 10 days now for delivery......maybe next week?

Re: Latest purchases
Thanks jo4576, I had convinced myself that I needed feather effect, and now will not bother. The detail about the formula and finish was really helpful. I'm sorry that you've had a crud polish week - my A England one arrived very quickly (just what you needed to hear), maybe chase them up just in case something's gone awry?

Re: Latest purchases
Maybe it's just me as people on Facebook are pretty much wetting themselves over it. I so nearly thought 'hello overdraft' and bought the set of 3 - so glad I didn't! I can stomach a certain amount of haphazardness if a polish looks pretty but this wasnt nice at all. Even with 2 layers of top coat it was bumpy and had no shine at all. I think even if you layered it up, the final result would be questionable
With the leather effect, I can see why people like it. It's a nice colour and the finish is unusual but it's not for me. The free edge is gritty and it is far to matte for my tastes
As for my a-England order, I chased it up on Thursday and was told they were really busy. Spookily, I got a delivery email shortly after so I suspect I'd been forgotten about. I wouldn't mind but I live in a flat so all deliveries go to my parents so even if my order arrives on Monday, I won't get my paws on it til Friday!!!!

Re: Latest purchases
I just googled swatches of the feather effect polishes. I have to say, I don't get them...they look hideous...
Re: Latest purchases
My A-England order arrived yesterday too. You probably don't need to chase them, I think they received so many orders they are just trying to work through them all.

Re: Latest purchases
My jindie nail polishes arrived today. Will add them to the bucket (yes bucket) of untrieds! Card through the door as he couldn't fit another package through so a joyful trip to the sorting office tomorrow. No parking there at all and it's in the middle of a very busy estate. Hate going there. Oh well! But I think it's my llarowe package so will be worth the hassle I hope!
