Good basecoats? Empty Good basecoats?

Post  Sam Mon Nov 12, 2012 6:14 am

I've been using OPI Natural Nail basecoat, but I'm running low so the time to buy a new one is fast approaching. Since there's nothing particularly special about this one, I thought I'd give another one a go. Can anybody recommend one? I don't need any treatment or anything in it (my nails handle the abuse quite well...so far), so the most important things for me are that it dries quickly and prevents staining!

I had an essie ridge filling basecoat which was lovely. But, I like any ridge filler as I have lumpy nails

I buff all my ridges away...poor nails lol. One day they're just gonna like disintegrate or something, the way I treat them.

Is it the one in the white and green box? I bought this the other day but didn't find it filled the ridges very well. Neutral I wasn't that impressed with the No7 basecoat, I used it yesterday and my OPI has chipped slightly after one day which is most unusual...... Suspect

The best one I've used so far is the Sally Hansen Age Perfect one which has now been discontinued.

I use Nail Envy when my nails start showing signs of abuse, but it's too expensive to use all the time, especially as I seem to be changing my nails every day at the moment (so indecisive...). I might give that 17 one a go then Smile

I like the Rimmel one, think it's called Double Duty. It's a base coat and strengthner in 1
