Charity Nails
Ladies.... last night I was rather incensed. There is a seller on eBay who, like me sells hand painted false nails. I happened across one of her auctions last night for Children in Need Pudsey nails. How nice I thought, and then I looked at it closely.
This seller has used pudsey, the CIN name and is donating absolutely NOTHING to the CIN charity. This wound me up. So, with this in mind I created my own set and with these 100% of the sale will go to the Children In Need charity. The auction is private so your ID's wont be revealed if you decide to bid

I was so annoyed, so much so Ive just posted a blog rant, but its akin to using the breast cancer logo to sell your work, I think it stinks. I get the impression the seller is reasonably young so I guess naivety perhaps comes into play. I'd hope that people wouldn't buy them when they realise they are not profitting the charity in any way.
Re: Charity Nails
Its just if they realise.
I hate the rainbow spots for pudsey, they should be red
Why did they change it and why did they give him a stupid girlfriend

Re: Charity Nails
That is awful isn't it? The nails you are selling are lovely - you've done a fantastic job on them.
As I'm off on Friday, I thought I'd do my pudsey nails tonight and give a donation by text on the night.
I've seen the lovely bear nail art on another site and had planned to do that with yellow nails with white and multi spot tips on all the others. However, I suspect this will be quite time consuming! Do you think I can get away with just the bear and say a red on all the others or a beige maybe? I can't go too outrageous as I've got to work tomorrow.

I can't believe it didn't even cross my mind to Children In Need nails...not that I should be thinking about painting nails when I STILL haven't finished my essay
Those nails are beautiful That's awful about the other seller though. You should report them. I quite enjoy reporting people on ebay...I probably need to get out more lol.

Re: Charity Nails
I have emailed Chris Evans about it, and asked if he will talk about them on the radio.
Doesn't hurt does it.
Hopefully they will go for oodles.

Yay thank you! I've been trying for the retweet method.
Someone messaged me through eBay last night offering £6 to end the auction! Really? Who tries to end a charity auction? !

Oh my that looks amazing! Not helped by the fact my breakfast was a bag of french fries I suspect haha. Hope they are still selling them on Saturday morning when I get into town.
Just wish I'd thought of it last week, could have done a few on a BIN and just charged for materials. Oh well.

Haha - I too have occasional self righteous flurries of reporting people on ebay. All the fake Benefir big 10 sets are my bugbear at the moment. I need a life;)

Thats Bob, my duff eared Westie. He's an old man now at 12 but he's a character.

He is lovely. We had a younger Scottie Dog who we lost to liver disease age 9 in February. Bob was 2 when we had Jack so he's been with him for most of his life. We thought Bob might pine or be lonely but he's actually come out of his shell a lot. Jack was a big character and I think he tended to push Bob in the background a bit. He's much more attentive and loving now he's an only dog. Completely the opposite of what we expected really.
I do threaten to bump him off daily though (I am joking honestly!) because OH says until Bob has gone I can't have another Scottie
