Favourite fast dry topcoats?
I have been using NYC fast dry topcoat, does dry very fast, is cheap and I can get it in any superdrug.
What topcoat can you not live without?

Yeah I know what you mean, I like the NYC but half way down its a pain in the bum to get out. Really have to tip it on its side to get out it x

Re: Favourite fast dry topcoats?
Seche Vite, I know the shrinking issue is a pain in the bum but I change my polish so frequently I can live with it. I love the feel of it over my polish.
My scecond is a Color club one I got in a set from TK Maxx, will be upset when it finishes as I don't know if it is a special one of just the standard version. When I googled before I kept finding ones with filters in to reduce the yellowing affect of polish, not what I was after and don't want to order from US and get the wrong thing.
Not a fan of the OPi rapid top coat though, I don't think that is very good at all.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri. Dries really quickly without any negative effects, but it can be difficult to get the right amount of polish on the brush.

I've only ever used OPI Rapid Dry top coat and had no problems I then use Avon Liquid freeze spray which is fab (I normally only buy it when it's on offer though and stock up!)

I like [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] by Boots. I think it might be a dupe for SV, though I haven't used SV for a few months (since buying this one) so I can't really remember.

Sally Hansen insta-dry without a doubt. Gives a beautiful shiny finish.
Re: Favourite fast dry topcoats?
Currently using Insta-Dri too! Seems to be pretty good

I prefer No 7 topcoat which is a 60 second topcoat it used to say on the front of the bottle but now it says it on the back.
I much prefer the wide brush to Sally Hansen insta dri but when I run out I might try the NYC one
I only buy the No 7 one on offer

Re: Favourite fast dry topcoats?
How do quick dry top coats work? If I had a polish that was four coats for full coverage, would I put the QDTC on between each layer or leave the layers for a few minutes before doing the next to get the look I want and then putting the top coat on?

Another vote for Insta-Dri here. I've tried Seche Vote as well, it's good but Insta-Dri is just as good and much cheaper.
You don't need to add it in between each layer, just on top of the last layer. Leave a few mins between each layer as usual, then add the quick dry stuff. No more smudges or marks from your bed sheets etc.

Another Seche Vite stalwart here! It's revolutionalised the way I put my polish on, and the frequency at which I now have time to change it!

I'm thinking I might try the Sally Hansen next time I need top coat having read the above. After all, less spent on top coat means more to spend on polish

Re: Favourite fast dry topcoats?
I used to wear Seche Vite, then tried HongKong Girl quick dry top coat after seeing rave reviews on a blog. It was great and didn't shrink like Seche so I ordered a BIG bottle from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] several months ago. I still have almost a full bottle and have refilled mine several times using a cake icing nozzle that looks and acts like a mini funnel . Must work out very very cheap per bottle! I reckon this will last another couple of years at this rate lol.
It dries as quickly as seche, doesn't shrink, is quite think so covers glitter well and is lovely and shiny. It wears as well as anything I have tried so I am happy xx

Thanks Carter0268! I'm a dedicated Seche follower but have read about this topcoat before and am thinking of trying it. I followed the link, but it doesn't seem to give a price or an option to buy. It's probably me - I had this exact same problem with another site yesterday !

Hi LoolaBeanbag,
I have had a look too and you.re right, there are lots of prices missing on the site! I paid £33 for my large bottle, but as I said, it will last for ever lol. Might be worth emailing them! As far as I remember, the 15ml bottles were about £5-6. Good luck! xx

Re: Favourite fast dry topcoats?
I use Seche, I'm much more careful with how I apply it after some tips on here and it has less shrinkage.
Not really tried any others. I will try HK girl now theres a UK stockist though, will email them thanks for posting that Carter
