Re: Swear Room
Lol this would be my area. My language is terrible ALL the time.
Think it's because I work with mostly men and it's generally the only language they understand.

I have a foul mouth too. It is getting worse aswell, the more stressed I am the worse the words I use are.

Re: Swear Room
Its nice to know you can drop the odd swear word in without offending too many people!!
Re: Swear Room
I'm having one of those days myself. I'm on my 5th nail job of the day.
With poor covers, bad mixes, tape pulling varnish off, and such that I've not liked any one.
Currently on a lavender grey plain job that I've already dented. Had enough, will go to bed on these, and see what it's like in the morning, and how I can make it less plain.
*sigh*

Re: Swear Room
Could somebody also put how to 'fix' a nail if its fixable. have heard you all talk about glue and teabags and stuff but have no idea how to do it.
Oh and for the record I can swear with the best of them!!! Particularly if someone cuts me up in the car - tis quite embarrassing when the kids say 'Mummy, what does w!@?%&r mean?''''

Add me to the list - my language is appalling. Fortunately I have no children to frighten, nor do I see any very often - and I really struggle to restrain myself when I do!

I saved a nail that was broken right at the edge of the nail bed by using nail glue across the split and when that dried, I buffed it so it was smooth and then I put 2 coats of Nail Envy. Didn't lose the nail either

Re: Swear Room
Well my mended nail from two weeks ago finally gave up the ghost tonight. At least it's grown out a bit I suppose. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Swear Room
I'm going to use the swear room to let off steam but not about my nails.
I'm having a really awful week which has just got worse - we have a massive project at work with our biggest client who has just spent a huge amount of money buying a number of websites. Progress on the work has been painfully slow and we have a deadline looming so my partner and one of our contractors have just had a huge row and the contractor has stormed out. I'm so stressed and I really don't know what to do now.

My work is horrible too. We've got an audit next week and people are very stressed and the atmosphere is horrible.
Hope yours gets better soon. x

Give him time to chill out. I've just got into my car and driven down the road. No real reason to go out, I just needed too.

It's awful when that happens. Mine are too long at the moment but I really hate cutting them.

Re: Swear Room
Very bad day today. Ended up in tears over some college work that I don't get. Think I'm getting a bit stressed!!! Have spoken to my tutor tho and I'm going to get some 1on1 help next week. Hopefully that will help.
Re: Swear Room
Hope so. It's a maths and theory assignment. I'm rubbish at maths at the best of times so if it was just that then I wouldn't have the problem. It's the theory I don't understand either. Grrr
Re: Swear Room
I'm terrible. The kids and OH glare at me because they aren't allowed to swear in the house yet if I'm pissed off I'm like a drunken sailor (kids are 15 and 19 I add).
My week has also been really shitty, ongoing stomach problems left me in bed for most of Wednesday and Thursday. I had some kind of allergic reaction to a Tikka Masala (I love tikka, im not good with spicy food though and I'd not had this brand before) on Tuesday night which left me VERY ill with stomach cramps so bad I thought I was going to end up in A&E. I was physically sick from the pain. Ahh well, its one for my food diary before I go back to the GP next week.
What really really pissed me off beyond measure was my Mother, who knowing just how ill I was telephoned last night about me taking her shopping today. The conversation started with "I know you're ill so...." and stupidly I thought she was going to say 'ill nip to the shop at the bottom of the street and take me when you are better' etc what she actually said was "I know you're ill so you can wait in the car".
I cried a bit, then I shouted and swore a bit. Then I realised that she will always be completely selfish and I shouldnt take it personally.
Meh.
