Mine just never work, they look blocky and don't gradient.

Mine have turned out like that sometimes, when I've just had one colour at a time on the sponge. If you put three stripes on the sponge, and slightly overlap each stripe (start with the darker stripe, then overlap the lighter stripes) you get a much softer effect.

in my case its the opposite..its easier for me to do a gradient with one colour at the time....nice gradient btw

Just painted Vinylux in Azure Wish, a fairly uninspiring mid blue creme but I have a busy few days with not much polish time so will be interested to see how it lasts. May stamp over it with another Vinylux, I'm just not used to plain - no holo, no glitter, no pattern, no gradient, no anything. Just very plain.

Well the Vinylux weekly polish (applied meticulously as per instructions) has lasted less than 24 hours on me. I have chips galore, the polish has chunked off rather than chipped on one nail. I was just starting to warm to Man City Blue too!

I'm wearing "Poolside Party" by Headline Colours, with a white stripe down the middle and white caviar beads on top of the stripe I'll be blogging it tomorrow!

I'm just taking my asphalt (true grey) vinylux. Had it on since Monday but forgot about it today and have melted some off. Oops

I didn't know the sponge was supposed to be damp either, I've always done it dry and it seems to work ok. Will have to try it damp next time, maybe it'll work even better.

Wearing a lovely summery turquoise from Loola,with two coats of Hottie I'm sure it would look gorgeous and sparkly and summery if the sun was out ,as it is I look like I'm polished for the wrong season!

Sue, rock those brights - it's so miserable out there a bit of summer on ther nails may be the closest we get this year! I'm feeling a tad miserable today, having combed every European forecast I can find to be faced with the fact that we will probably have a cold and wet holiday next week. 6 soggy children is not what I fancy at all. I'm trying to look on the bright side - there's plenty to do indoors, we're lucky to be getting away at all, the forecasters might be wrong, (and the shopping centre's under cover ) but I just can't get that that holiday feeling that usually sees me through the lengthy packing process.......

I tried this nice colour from Claire's (how come they don't have any names or numbers on them?). Today we had a sliver of sunshine so I've been admiring the holo in these all day

The dots are lovely but I'm totally obsessed with the mind squiggles. How did you do them?

I want to get the Mind logo on that nail using the alcohol transfer method unless there is an easy way? anyone got any ideas? (hand painting is not an option! ) - and the squiggles on the other nails I think.

No advice I'm afraid, just muchos admiration for those squiggles

May have to go fo yet another plate! How big are the images?
As for the alcohol transfer method - that sounds like waht I do late at night;)

its the old plates so its the smaller images than the later plates. Not sure that helped any..will take a comparison pic for you tomorrow.

I think it does to be honest. Smaller ones are I think the same as the konad ones and just too small fo my weird curved fingers

Its bigger than the original monster plates and a similar size to the new monster ones but smaller than the summer cheekys.
