Loola, I just use the brush and it's normally fine I don't know how dense that glitter is though...

Thanks so much all! I haven't done many gradients but I've always used a sponge. The base glitter I used, Nails Inc's Noel Street, is extremely dense, so much so that it looks like foil when you apply it in two coats. The gold and copper hex glitter is separate, it's a Claire's polish and sparse x

Thanks Sam and Geordie, I'll persevere with my brush I think! I may try a less dense glitter or maybe two together

Just put on EDM Black Forest and it looks crap on me This is the second time I've tried it and failed miserably....I think I'll have to layer it over black in future.

A similar looking one which I adore (even husband says its special!) is Gloss & Sparkle Goblin's Grave Sue. It doesn't need to be layered either - might be worth a look?

I didn't expect the EDM to look as good on me as the photos on blogs but I found it really difficult to get it to look nice.

I'm fancying a KB - Totally tubular. I know I looked at and liked Get Clover it but I can't remember what it looks like - I'm going to look again now!

I've gone for a US layerfest tonight, Sephora Pantone Spectral, Love & Beauty magenta glitter and Sation Confessions of a Nail Tech. It's uberblingtastic. Have taken a pic and will post it when I'm not feeling so crappy

Thanks Whoami  I'm not a big pink fan either. The bling was added to distract from my dire cuticles!

OPI Bond Girls Liquid Sand in Solitaire from the mini set I got in TK Maxx. A pretty whitey silvery colour. I love it !

In the set is one called Vesper - really dark purple - very much dislike it on the nail.
