Very very fractionally bluer pink on the right. but I did get 100% in the sort the similar shades into order test thingy!

The PurplePurple isn't 'listed' as a duocrome but its supershiny and flashes purple/blue. It also magnifies flaws horribly so its going to have to come off as I have to either chop my nails down or disquise the split with superglue and a tea bag
no WAY is this going to look anything but a mess over teabag texture! Its also got a bit of tip wear and I think may be prone to chipping.

But it is absolutely lovely so I'll probably excuse its shortcomings!

Avon Licorice over 2 coats of Opi Skull and Glossbones. First time ive attempted anything other than stripes with the striping tape.

Thank you :)It's definitely a change from my normal neon and sparkly... :p The lines are quite as straight on the right hand...

Backhoe - I really like them - nice and bright

Love those dots.
I once tried something similar with reds and oranges and it looked like some horrid disease of growths;)

Green definitely a better choice, and far better executed. How do you not end up with the middle dot being really raised up like a pimple?

I think its some sort of alchemy those of you that can do dots that look like dots and not like smears or splodges or growths. You've all sold your souls to some dark force.

Ha ha. Sorry Hanspan. I usually manage three dots to one splodge in the polish then clean the tool and start again. I find if I let the bobbly bit get to gunked up then thats when the dots start going wrong. Also to keep the tool dead straight and not let it lean as you would when you hold a pen (if you get my meaning)

anwyay - even cleaning in between every dot I got weird blobs. I think I'm just dooooooomed.

Just thought of another one!! Use a smaller tool than the size of dot you want and mine always spreads so the dot it bigger than the blob of the tool (bet you are liking all these technical terms.... blob, splodge, bobbly bit!!). Also I only use a good polish as cheap ones tend to blend into the base coat.

Ah now - it could only do that if the base was still wet. Is that where I'm going wrong? do you not wait for things to dry before dotting?
Last time I used one with a really tiny blobby bit and swirled it round a bit. No improvement!

Thanks. I'm not particularly fit so won't be doing it in 15 minutes or anything crazy but I'll get it done! It'll be my 6th year of entering and amazingly managed to raise just under £180 this year so I'm happy to be completely knackered on a Sunday!!!
