Re: Very Important question!
I would normally pick Galaxy over Dairy Milk, but sometimes a bar of DM is a nice change.
Bournville though... heaven in a red wrapper.

Dairy milk for me! Especially given the plus point that they know what "suitable for vegetarians" means

Well, if you really want to know... the problem is usually whey...
When you add certain enzymes to milk, it separates into curds and whey (as in little miss muffet). Curds are made into cheese - whey is a by-product. Quite often, the whey is dried and added to all kinds of things as a cheap filler (chocolate, biscuits, icecream etc).
The issue is the source of the enzymes... Sometimes, it's sourced from the stomach linings of unweaned slaughtered calves - and sometimes it has more vegetarian friendly origins. For a product containing whey to be genuinely suitable for vegetarians, the source of these enzymes needs to be appropriate (the same obviously applies to cheese - which is why some cheese has a V on it and some doesn't).
Cadburys understand this - products containing whey from unsuitable sources are actually marked as "not suitable for vegetarians" (eg, dairy milk with oreo). Other companies are not so understanding - they either don't know or don't care where their whey comes from.
There was a huge fuss about this a few years ago - mars switched from veggie to non-veggie whey ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]) and then [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] when they realised that people actually care about this stuff.
I'll shut up now

Of course if you'd added Milka & Daim into the equation the answer would have been entirely different..................

Coke, only ever Coke. And it tastes better from the glass bottles!
But not diet or Zero, it has to be full fat or I'd rather have water

You see I don't like the taste of full fat coke, much prefer diet coke. Or cherry diet coke ideally! Love that!
