I agree, never thought it added up from the beginning. Still so sad though. The one person he should have been able to trust to protect him from all nastiness of the world... Sad awful awful awful.

I don't watch or read the news.

I'd rather keep myself in a My Little Pony themed bubble of sunshine and not have to listen to the evils of the world!

I know. And all the people that helped to look for him.

How could a mother do that? And now her other kids don't have a mother, not that you'd want one like that.

Shocked  My laptop just fell off the sofa - again - ping goes the battery and the case opens up a little more.  I rest it on the arm when watching tv shows on it, which is usually fine as our sofa has big flat arms, but every so often I do something twatty and bang! it falls off the side.  Or down the first few stairs.   pale

It's a wonder it's still alive. Given everything I've put it through there is no way I could ever buy myself a Mac (which hubby swears by).  Oh well, Mac for him, pretties for me.

I miss my old Dell laptop despite the fact that it is huge and clunky. I'm not very impressed with the HP laptop I'm using now.  No

We're going to make a small orchard in one area, cut down some of the ash trees which have seeded themselves and plant some magnolias and rhododendrons. There's no point planting flowers as there are roe deer in there and they eat practically everything!  Laughing

We've bought it mainly because we don't want any houses built there in the future.

My parents did that. They live in the middle of nowhere with 4/5 neighbours nearby, but due to trees and hills they can't see each others houses so loe their privacy. When the strip of woodland over the road went up for sale all the neghbours grouped together to buy it, then divided up the land. Can't do much with it other than clear the fallen trees and collect wood for their fires, but means there won't be a whole load of houses across the road if the farmer ever decides sells to part of his land to a developer.

Haven't pointed out that there is a large field next to them which could easy fit many many new houses. If that happened they'd probably build a 20ft wall and live in denial  Rolling Eyes

Rhododendrons!! I miss them so much being up here with chalky soil, and lupins, I miss lupins, they don't grow well here either. Good luck with the planting Baba, I hope the deer don't have all the saplings for breakfast too! x

We've got some huge rhododendrons in our back garden, one of them has really beautiful flowers which look a bit like orchids.

We've been out and started clearing the woodland a bit today but it's going to take months before we can plant anything to be honest. It is absolutely full of weeds, brambles, nettles and ivy, but OH is completely in his element which is nice. I think we're going to have to hire a mini digger at some stage to try and level a few of the areas as it is extremely uneven.

For anybody interested, here's a photo I took of one of the young deer by the woodland last summer.  Very Happy  They're very cute indeed, but they do a lot of damage!

Been to the dentist this afternoon and the top left side of my mouth is numb.  As are my nostrils which is freaking me out no end Shocked

Caught sight of myself in the car while laughing and realised what I numpty I looked like.  Cue hubby deciding to try and make me laugh as often as possible out in public.  Every time I did the image of my lopsided face kept popping into my head and made me laugh more, so I ended up walking around the shopping centre hiding most of my face and trying not to punch him.  And the meanie made me order my own coffee so congrats to the girl behind the till for getting it right - at the point I would have gladly taken anything!
