Essie price/good for stamping?
My local boots has an Essie stand now. They've had it for about a month or so, and every time I peruse the varnish collection, I am always drawn to the Essie stand. I just love all the pastel looking colours. I can't say why, but it's oh so attractive. However. They're all priced at £7.99 which for me is just a no-no. I buy £4 and under, or on offers, so two for £8 etc. I have never seen those go on offer as yet.
I know walk in polish buys are generally dearer, but in any ones experience, has essie in store ever gone onto offer? It never empties, it's always full, so I suspect that most people wouldn't pay £7.99 for it either.
BUT BUT I do like some of the colours, and I'm thinking because it's pastel I'd like to use with stamping. As I am quite drawn to essie, before I try and buy it cheap elsewhere, I wondered if they are any good with stamping, as I suspect that's what I'd use one for mostly.

I love essie but have never stamped with it. I have sheers, jelly like finishes and a glittery one. They are currently £1.99 on fragrance direct.com not the full collection but plenty of lovely shades. Delivery price is reasonable and quite quick. I usually treat myself to essie in Boots with my boots points.

Wow, that's actually quite a difference in price! Even with a postage charge on top, if you get a couple, it's still far cheaper. I'll have to investigate that.

Wow what a great price for Essie. Shame I've just bought CG this week lol.

Thanks Jasmina, I've ordered 2 Essies (Power Clutch & Carry On) from Fragrance Direct (plus 1 Cutex, 1 NYC , 2 Sally Hansens and some cuticle oil to make the P&P worthwhile).

I havenb't looked at Essies for stamping, but if you want pastel stamping colours have you considered Barry M lilac foil or Stargazer Chrome in pink or Blue?
Re: Essie price/good for stamping?
The Primark polishes by Angelica have lots of pastels

I'd imagine Essie would be good for stamping, I've got quite a few and they're almost all Opaque after 1 coat. The ones from the Metallic Collection would be good I'd say x

I relented and bought some on line from the fragrance place. Damn sight cheaper than in the stores! picked up one or two others as well from the site, so will have those waiting to play with when I get back.
