LoolaBeanbag wrote:I was a Zoya virgin until these turned up today Jasmina, I've had a little play and I think I'm going to get along with them rather nicely! They are well pigmented which is important to me as I'm a thin painter but can't stand the nail line showing. They seem to take a little longer to dry than some of the other brands but I can live with that. I've already have a look to see what's going to go on my Zoya next time list
Don't forget to show us your mani - I am feeling lustful. Feb payday can't come soon enough.

Trouble is, now I want a purple one!!!!!
I've put both the green and the pink over a Layla aqua with pink shimmer. It's more a fairy sheen than the in yer face sparkle that I normally go for and I may be turning a corner....!!!!

The Pink yet Lavender looks very enticing Jasmina, it's the only one of the Mariah lot that I may end up caving for.

Today's haul/nail mail!
L-R; China Glaze - Pink Plumeria, Flirty Tankini, Love's A Beach;
Pahlish - This New Sun, Pink Roses And Red Valentine Lace;
Barry M - Aqua Glitter, Ruby Glitter, Diamond Glitter (super holo sparkles!);
Sally Hansen - Himalayan Blue (from Poundland, haha!)
I'm not entirely sold on the Ruby Glitter, but the boyfriend picked it out, so...

OK Senoshi, you're right, we're definitely polish related!!! I have pink plumeria on my next China Glaze shop list, I already have Himalayan blue and I went into town this afternoon and bought just two polishes - Barry Ms in Aqua glitter and Ruby glitter. Freeeeaaaaky!!!

Haha! Clearly we just both have brilliant polish tastes! *high five* Pink Plumeria is -adorable-, I totally recommend it! I was disappointed in Flirty Tankini though, maybe avoid that one. Ruby Glitter might be my next manicure, hehe! I'm not sure what to put under it though? Light pink? Yellow? Pastel aqua?
Re: Latest purchases
I got those 2 barry m glitters before xmas on 3 for 2 got magenta glitter as 3rd. Got some of those skinny loreal polishes at boyes for £1.20. The sally hansen salon are wicked polishes! So going to poundland! Bet mine won't have any, thats a fab find!

Re: Latest purchases
It's definitely worth a try, polishedpurple! Mine had a handful of different shades (I spotted Ion, Greige Gardens, Green Tea, Himalayan Blue), but obviously that'll vary from store to store. Considering Boots used to sell them for £8, it's a pretty good bargain! (Although iirc they're currently on the Boots website for £2 each?)

I was going to do a big purchase, thank you for reassuring me- I have no Zoyas but I want them so badly.
They still don't have the Color Clubs in Jasmina, but they do have all of the OPI Mariahs including the liquid sands at £5.82. If you're placing an order anyway it makes these a good price (£5 postage to consider here), I noticed that Nail Polish Direct want £9.90 for the sands.
My latest purchase delivered today was Enchanted Polish Tummy Time. It looks horrid, like vomit in a bottle and has bar glitter in it which I didn't see on the pics before I bought it. Bleurgh.....

I feel your pain, hate it when a polish isn't what you expect.

Oh nooooo I hate it when a polish disappoints you! Put on something super bright or sparkly to make yourself feel better?

Thanks Jasmina, I have another look at it and it is really sparkly, and has stars and hearts. But I've decided that I'm never realistically going to use it so will be putting it up for grabs soon. This has prompted me to have a little sort out (ooooh, it's hard to part with even those that I know I don't want !!) and I'll be having a little sale-ette when I've taken some pics.

Re: Latest purchases
My first ever Nails Inc lucky dip arrived! Only one crackle, which will be gifted away to a young relative, the rest I'm loving and just away to swatch. In the bottle the pink looks a little similar to others I've got, but pink tends to be my fallback colour as I know it doesn't stain.

You got a great selection there Stationaryace, Belsize Avenue is gorgeous - I've just given mine to my sister though, she's not a polish fan at all but really fell for that one. I was only too happy to hand it over as she's just come back from Milan with a surprise couple of Kikos for me!

Fragrance Direct have them for £1.50 each, and have a good range of colours in stock - and as none of the poundshops near me ever seem to have any interesting polish, I've just accidentally ordered five! Ah well, got to make it worth the postage charge haven't you
(that's the Sally Hansen complete manicure range btw)

I managed to get Sally Hansen Green Tea in my local Poundland yesterday. I think I'm going to try it as undies for a-england's She Walks in Beauty - I saw something similar on the Polished Perfectionist's blog.
