Sneaky trip to tk maxx after nursery run, shambolic £5 total bargain. Someone had pinched the lipgloss hence reduction but I am pleased as punch as the lipgloss was putting me off buying the other set last week.

The lipgloss put me off buying that Butter London set too - I mean seriously who actually wears purple glittery lipgloss?

Bingo. The gold set was proper wowser for lips, just not my style anymore e.g. I feel too old. There was a beautiful irridesent one I was tempted by but the gloss looked like the result of sticking your lips in the sugar bowl.

Well I nearly purchased GOSH Galaxy in Superdrug today. However, despite there being promotional signs that all GOSH polish was half price (£2.99 - go figure.... )it still came up at £4.99 when I got to the till so I left it.

There was nothing decent in TK Maxx or Poundland either so a disappointing day for me.

I got three Sally Hansen Nail Prisms in a discount shop today for 99p each was so excited when I saw them!

TK Maxx here has been rubbish as well lately, they have hardly had any polishes at all. Today all they really has was the Butter London sets with the lipglosses.

I tried TK Maxx yesterday, the only thing they had was one duo set of OPI Shrek snot coloured and silver shatter. No other polishes at all! Poundlands round here also seem to be totally devoid of polish too

TKMaxx up here only had two different Nails Inc sets (a few of each), and a couple of Revlon polishes in plastic bags. Oh and one left over Butter London set. I have a sneaky suspicion that they're not going to restock the make-up section and just replace it with more body lotions that no-one buys.

God I hope not!!

Yeah, that would probably mean I wouldn't bother going there any more. There was an awful lot of lotions and potions there yesterday, either obscure brands that no-one's heard of (then they can hike the RRP!) or old lady florally type stuff.

After the disappointment in TKMaxx yesterday I popped into Poundland and picked up these pens.

Haven't tried them yet but whilst browsing on Ebay tonight I noticed someone has the 3-way pen listed at £2.50 min auction with £1.20 postage - cheeky!

I found exactly the same thing at my local one last month, not been in since to recheck but there wasn't a stitch of polish to be had in Hanley store and its a big shop.

Nothing in poundworld, poundland or tkmax - was about to give up and go home when I remembered the nice lady in the indoor market... Got a couple of lovely new W7's that I hadn't seen before - twilight and midnight I think they're called. One's a blue / purple duochrome glitter - one's a green / purple duochrome glitter. I'll check which is which if anyone's interested

Nothing in the Swansea poundland today other than a few sick coloured revlons that had split. There was one Sally Hansen ion hidden in there as well, but I concluded that since I couldn't work out what colour it was, I probably didn't need it.

I did go on a little spree in home bargains before heading to the train station though, since Maidstone doesn't have one, and I picked up some acrylic paints for £1.99

I've found a couple of swatches but am on the fence still. I can't decide if they are either a) funky fresh and eyecatching polishes or b) Artex like creations resembling the walls in my ageing aunties lavvy, last decorated circa 1956.

On my thumb all chipped and tattered lol china glaze Mr and Mrs underneath pixie dust.

They all look nice Jasmina - I particularly like Disco Barbie and Pixie Dust.
