Your polka dots always look so perfect. Do you use a dotting tool? I don't have one of those yet.

Re: nuthin' but a nail thing
I love the one with the Barry M Gelly. I agree about your dots as well. I did a manicure involving a few dots on a few nails last night and I got so fed up of doing them...
Re: nuthin' but a nail thing
I can't be faffed with a dotting tool, I just stick a pin in the end of a pencil with a rubber on the end Can chuck it away after then instead of trying to clean it off

Re: nuthin' but a nail thing
I use dotting tools, yes I don't think they are difficult to clean or anything, and they are good because you can get different sizes.
Babafette, you can get packs of 5 for like £2 on ebay.

2true glitter swatches - has anyone else tried these? They are lovely, (in particular the dark blue!) and 3 for £5!

Re: nuthin' but a nail thing
Thanks Princess Sossidge, I bought a pack of 5 for £1.00 from eBay the other day. I'm sure my dots won't look as good as yours though!Princess Sossidge wrote:I use dotting tools, yes I don't think they are difficult to clean or anything, and they are good because you can get different sizes.

I've had my eye on it in Boots for a while but have so far managed to restrain myself from buying it.

Re: nuthin' but a nail thing
It really wasn't that bad, I always use the tin foil method for glitter though.

Re: nuthin' but a nail thing
Thanks Baba, much, MUCH easier than proper water marbling, christ, I just cannot do that at all. I get one nice nail and the rest are awful
Re: nuthin' but a nail thing
I'm looking forward to seeing your tutorial - it does look as though it will be much easier and cleaner than normal water marbling!

Re: nuthin' but a nail thing
Just seen your blog today about the 17 polishes. Do you know when these were released as I can't find them online.......

I'll be eagerly awaiting the tutorial too, so it's basically making your own wraps? I'd imagine the if I tried the technique that you described on your blog I'd end up with a thick gunky mess Hell, I'll try anything once!!
I'm in awe of your perfect dots too.....!

Re: nuthin' but a nail thing
shoppingaddict, I think they've literally only just been released, I bought them yesterday, I couldn't find them online either, but they did have 3/4 in my local Boots (I believe there is a black one too but I just assumed the 3 the sales assistant found me were one of each as I couldn't find anything else about them). My Boots is a bit rubbish, so I was surprised they had any at all though. You are best going to a Town Centre Boots, rather than a Retail Park one though, as they treat retail park Boots as a "small store" (even though they are larger!) so they never get the new stuff in straight away.
Loola, yes, it is pretty much that, I am going to try and get a tutorial done this week though It sounds like it's dead messy but it weirdly isn't and does work!
