Shite, I'll confess. Gelish.
Really wanted to dislike it, really wanted it to not work or peel off, really wanted it to be a total failure. Can't see how I can realistically work it in to my polish addiction. Shite again.

Re: What do you love?
Loola, I'm quite tempted to buy stuff for gels. My nails have been mostly naked for weeks, because I'll do a manicure for a challenge or something of an evening, and then take it off and don't have time to do something to actually wear for the next day. This week though I've just been painting over my gels and then removing with acetone-free remover. No need for naked nails...
Re: What do you love?
I'd say do it Sam
I was really impressed at how easily regular polish came off the gel underneath - I'd read that it would be a sod to get off but it wasn't a problem at all.
I am concerned about how tricky the actual gel will be to get off though - that will be a major factor. I really want to get my mitts on the essence 'gel nails at home' stuff - it has a peel off base for the gel and works with regular polish instead of a gel formula colour; so cleanse, prime, peel off base, colour and top coat all of which can apparently be safely peeled off in one hit. They claim it lasts up to 10 days, but the attraction for me is the easy peeloffability with the gel strength and finish
It's new out, hit the shops early August and I'm heading back to Holland in a couple of weeks so will be searching like a woman possessed

Re: What do you love?
Ooh that sounds interesting, you'll have to let us know on your blog how you get on with it if you manage to track it down :p
Do you know whether you can use normal nail polishes with gels or would the UV mess it up? Like could you use gel base and topcoat with normal polish between? Or do a full gel manicure, with some nail art in normal polish before the topcoat?
I'm not sure that made sense. I'm too hot.

Re: What do you love?
I've been a googlin' this very subject Sam!
You can use normal nail polish with a gel top coat, but the all of the layers of polish have to be completely absolutely dry before putting the gel topcoat on. There's an American bird who's done a handy little youtube on this, I'll see if I can find her again.
My current (still going strong!) water marbles are over plain white gels - I was going to marble and then Seche, but I liked the colours so much that I put the gel top coat over the marble - so they're foundation, 2 coats of white gel, marble with normal polish then gel topcoat. A tiny hint of tip wear after 4 days, I'm normally a cracked and chipped wreck after two .

Urgh, vodka is the devil. I only ever drink it to up the alcohol content of tasty cocktails lol (because as delicious as peach schnapps, malibu and the like are, 20% really just isn't very alcoholic).

I love treating my cat! Shared some fish bites from the chippy with her, she adored them and was sniffing the carpet in case I'd dropped anything
Re: What do you love?
Boozy bears...?
Sue, I love scones as well. Even if all the cream and sugar makes me feel really sick... Totally worth it, yum yum yum.
